Hello!

We don’t know what it must have been like to make the decision you have made to investigate adoption, but we admire your strength. It takes a very strong and mature individual to think of the needs of a child over personal desires.
May the Lord bless you forever for your selflessness and your love for one of His children.

Thank you for taking the time to get to know us.

In the Begininng...

We met in Utah in 2000 while we were both attending Weber State University. During our first date we immediately felt a connection. After a rather short courtship we were married in March, 2001. 8 Years have passed and we still feel that connection. We have had a wonderful time learning and growing together. Our love and friendship continues to grow with each passing year.

Why do we want to adopt?

We have always desired to have children and raise a family, however conditions exist that make it so Lori is not able to become pregnant. Adoption is such a blessing in our lives already and we are so grateful for birthmothers that make this truly unselfish choice.

Lori LOVES Logan

Although it wasn't exactly love at first sight for Logan and I, it was very easy to fall in love with him. It is just as easy to stay in love with him. He is charming, affectionate, and loving. He has a way to make me feel like I can do anything and he can always make me laugh. He is one of the smartest people I know. He has a love for learning and is very motivated. He has an Associate, Bachelors, and most recently a Masters degree in family and human development. He teaches seminary, a religion class that high school students can take if they are interested. He loves his job and the students he teaches. Logan absolutely loves Taylor and is a very devoted father.

Logan LOVES Lori

Among her many talents, she is a gifted photographer. She does family portraits as well as occasional weddings. When she has time, Lori devours books of all kind. It is not uncommon for her to read a book a week. Lori likes to scrapbook and has already completed several scrapbooks of our family. Lori is able to stay at home with Taylor and is a wonderful mother whose primary interest is helping Taylor conquer whatever comes her way.

All About Taylor

Taylor Marie was born February, 2005. That was the most incredible moment in time. We had watied for so long and finally a baby girl was ours to love. After four years of marriage and trying to have children, Taylor Marie came into our home through the love of birthparents who felt that adoption was right for them and their child. Taylor has brought indescribable joy to our lives and we will be forever grateful that her birthparents allowed us this privilege to raise her. Our extended family adores her and simply light up when Taylor is around. We consider ourselves blessed to have her in our family. We look forward to Taylor having sibling to play with.
She loves to have books read to her, watch anything animated, play with her friends, and go to the park. She is constantly learning new things. She can be kind of shy at time, but is not afraid to get to know someone new. She also loves attending preschool. Her newest love is to dress up and be a "princess".

It's Better When We Are Together...

As a family, we love the outdoors; hiking, gardening, and being together. We also enjoy watching movies, making cookies, going on little vacations, and being with our extended family.

We enjoy holidays and birthdays and try to make them special.

Our house always seems to be under construction because we want to remodel one room or another. It is wonderful to see a project come together and know that you had a hand in it.

Taylor loves to go to the high school football games with her daddy.

Lori loves to be a stay at home mom so she can go to fieldtrips with Taylor and her preschool class. In the fall we went to a pumpkin patch and went on a hayride to pick out a pumpkin.

Logan and Lori enjoy spending time together just the two of us. Lori's parents enjoy it just as much because they get time with Taylor.

Family and Friends

We both have wonderful families that are very supportive of our decision to adopt. They are all so excited to love and cherish a new member of our family! We live about 2 hours from most of our family. Many weekends and holidays thru out the year are spent together. We often will even meet our parents half way for dinner or special events.

Lori is the youngest of three children- one brother and one sister. Her brother and sister-in-law live in New York with their 2 year old son and a baby on the way. We see them about twice a year and we miss them very much. We love to talk to them on the web cam and see their little boy getting so big. Her sister and brother-in-law live close to our parents, so we get to see them quite often. They have a 6 month old girl who is also adopted.

Logan is the fourth of six children- three sisters and two brother. All of his siblings are married and we have 14 nieces and nephews. All, but one sister and her family, live close enough for us to visit with. We spend many holidays and weekends with them.

Our families are our favorite people. We love to spend time with them! We are both lucky that our parents live very close, so we can get together often with them. They are some of our very best friends!
We have a great bunch of friends where we live. There are 5 couples and their children that we do lots of fun things with. Sometimes just the girls together for a night out. They are all excited for us to have a new addition to out family and will be a great support to us when the time comes.

Open Adoption

We have always felt that we want to do what is best for our children. There will never be a time when your child will not know who you are or that they are loved by you. Adoption is something to be celebrated! We look forward to building a relationship with you and talking about what we both are comfortable with- contact, letters, pictures, blogs, etc.

Thank You!

We know that the Lord has a plan and that there is a reason for why things happen the way they do. May God bless you that you will be aware of His plan for you and your unborn child. Your child will forever know of your love and sacrifce. Thank you again for taking the time to get to know us!
Most sincerely,
Logan, Lorien, & Taylor
